Testimonials & Partners

The College of Health and Human Performance and our School of Social Work is extremely grateful for the Monet Richardson Community Foundation for their invaluable support. Krissy, a cherished Social Work alumna, had a huge impact on our community, and we are privileged to contribute to and support her legacy. This Social Work scholarship is a vital source of assistance for our students, empowering them to follow in Krissy's footsteps and make a lasting difference in the lives they touch.

"Jersey Mike’s Subs of Chapel Hill was very excited to partner with the Monet Richardson Community Foundation on their first ever Each One Teach One Financial Literacy Workshop! We believe that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one in the same, and providing lunch for the workshop participants gave us an opportunity to put that into action. Financial literacy is of personal importance to the ownership and management team at Jersey Mike’s, and we are happy to have found an impassioned partner in the MRCF. Keep up the good work! We're so happy to work with you guys. Let us know when there might be other opportunities to do so. We'll always help when we can."
“Community is a verb.” Our partnership with MRCF represents the true essence of that statement. It’s a pleasure to be a stronger community together. Wall Street Juniors is truly grateful to be active change-makers with MRCF. We are proud to honor the legacy of Krissy by investing in our communities. Thank you MRCF for changing worlds with us!

We are excited at CommunityWorx to witness the creation of The Monet Foundation, named in memoriam after one of Chapel Hill Carrboro community leaders, Kristian “Krissy” Monet Richardson. Krissy blessed this earthly plane with her beautiful spirit, her sense of community, and her passion for helping youth in our community. We had the privilege of working with Krissy on her beloved backpack project under our previous brand, PTA Thrift Shop. We appreciated her commitment to youth and the spirit in which she gathered items so carefully, taking into consideration what the recipients might need and enjoy. We look forward to being able to support these efforts again, as The Monet Foundation gets off to a great start.
The BOLD Foundation is honored to work in collaboration with the Monet Foundation to improve the lives of children in need in our local community as this is our core mission. We are proud to assist Pat in honoring the legacy of her daughter Krissy in giving back to the underserved youth near and dear to us.

The Chapel Hill YMCA's Y Learning programs provide 110 students a free and safe place to learn to build confidence and receive academic support focused on homework assistance and literary comprehension. The Y partners with the Chapel-Hill Carrboro City Schools and Orange County Schools to identify students who are missing academic benchmarks and may not have the resources available for additional support without the Y.

Y Learning helps me finish my homework with support from the teachers. I like being here with my friends when school is done.

When Pat called asking for help with the MRCF website, I knew I wanted to be involved. I was completely drawn to her stories about Krissy and the type of woman she was. I was so inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit and drive to give back. Krissy embodied all of the things I want Carrboro Creative to embody, so donating our time for the website was a no-brainer. I'm still awe-inspired by Pat's work to continue on her legacy and am honored to help be a part of it. I know Pat & this organization will do wonderful things.
