We are excited at CommunityWorx to witness the creation of The Monet Foundation, named in memoriam after one of Chapel Hill Carrboro community leaders, Kristian “Krissy” Monet Richardson. Krissy blessed this earthly plane with her beautiful spirit, her sense of community, and her passion for helping youth in our community. We had the privilege of working with Krissy on her beloved backpack project under our previous brand, PTA Thrift Shop. We appreciated her commitment to youth and the spirit in which she gathered items so carefully, taking into consideration what the recipients might need and enjoy. We look forward to being able to support these efforts again, as The Monet Foundation gets off to a great start.

The BOLD Foundation is honored to work in collaboration with the Monet Foundation to improve the lives of children in need in our local community as this is our core mission. We are proud to assist Pat in honoring the legacy of her daughter Krissy in giving back to the underserved youth near and dear to us.

The amount of time and work went into organizing, purchasing, and packing 130 backpacks full of school supplies for our Y Learning students is truly amazing. I know I speak for all of the Y Learning students at the YMCA -- thank you MRCF and your supporters for your generosity and love you have shown to the kids in our community.

When Pat called asking for help with the MRCF website, I knew I wanted to be involved. I was completely drawn to her stories about Krissy and the type of woman she was. I was so inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit and drive to give back. Krissy embodied all of the things I want Carrboro Creative to embody, so donating our time for the website was a no-brainer. I'm still awe-inspired by Pat's work to continue on her legacy and am honored to help be a part of it. I know Pat & this organization will do wonderful things.
